ABOUT OUR FARM

A treasure found in Central Newfoundland

Jiggs' Farm has been a staple to many local families in the Central NL area. We love hearing stories from all over about people that grew up visiting our farm and continue to do so with their family to this day.

We are currently raising our fourth generation of little farmers. Jiggs was so proud to share his little piece of paradise with anyone that stopped in, but especially with each member of his family. With 2024 on the horizon we are getting ready to celebrate the 70th year Jiggs' Farm has been in operation.

Founder

Edward "Jiggs" Borland

Jiggs moved to central NL in 1954 with his wife and three daughters. Together they started what is now known as Jiggs' Farm. After moving here Jiggs and Alma had one more daughter and two sons, raising their family and growing their farm at the same time. The farm has evolved over the years, including dairy farm, egg producer and pig farm. But the name Jiggs has always been well known in Central, and he has been deeply missed since his passing in 2013.
