What Would You Like to Know?
Curious about how we run our operations? Below you will find a list of common questions and answers that customers tend to ask again and again. If you still can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch and we will be happy to assist you. Whether you are wondering what the best day to come is or what kinds of services we offer, we will be happy to provide you with all the information you need.
HOW LONG IS THE TRAIL RIDE?
The trail ride is roughly 30-40 minutes long. Horses, like people, walk faster or slower than others. Also the weather can slow them down, like if it's too warm or muddy. This and many other reasons can lead to the ride length varying. We recommend you allow yourself about an hour to be here on the farm. By the time the waiver is signed, you're assigned a horse and we do the ride you will likely have spent an hour on the property.
WHO IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A HELMET?
EVERYONE! As per our insurance, if you are getting on a horse you need to wear a helmet. We strongly recommend you bring your own so that you are comfortable and have an already correctly fitting helmet. However, if you don't have one to bring or forget yours we do have a small selection to choose from so you can still enjoy a ride.
WHAT TREATS ARE THE ANIMALS ALLOWED TO HAVE?
They all have their different preferences but what they are allowed to eat is a wide range. Bread in small amounts is fine for the horses, goats, rabbits and the birds. They also like other dried goods like cereals and crackers. Fruits and vegetables are a hit with everyone as well, even the birds like to peck at most of it. We have a couple horses who absolutely love citrus type fruits like tangerines. In the fall our goats and chickens LOVE to eat pumpkins, and in the winter the goats look forward to everyone's Christmas trees.
Please always be cautious when feeding any animal. If feeding directly from your hands keep hands flat so your fingers are away from the mouth.
Please remember that every farm/owner is different. Do not assume that because it is okay to feed our animals, it's okay to feed someone else's. ALWAYS ask before feeding someone else's animal!
